will focus on informational text. Students will be writing a How-To paper on a

following vocabulary: star, axis and rotation vs. revolution. We will also be
talking about the seasons and where the Earth faces during each season. We will

continue with fractions. Students will be learning how to break apart groups in
equal fractions. We will also continue to work on reading and writing
fractions. Third graders will also begin working on multi-step word problems.
We will begin this as a whole class this week.
This process involves students explaining an answer to a story problem
and the process of HOW they came to that answer.
