Week
of: March 21, 2016
Reading and Language Arts: This week students will continue
to look at different types of narrative stories. We will also be reading some
nonfiction short passages and doing comparing/contrasting. **Students should be
reading at least 25 minutes for homework every night!
Grammar: We will be taking a
quick look at what syllables are and how to break up words into multiple
syllables.
Writing: This week in writing, we
will be discussing different ways to begin our narrative stories. Please ask
your child about their favorite way. We will also talk about dialogue and how
you use it in our writing! Students will choose their first narrative piece and
begin to practice our new ideas.
Science: This week we will be finishing
up the study of weather. Students will be reviewing and taking their test
tomorrow.
Math: This week we will be
finishing up our study of Time and taking the test tomorrow. Up after break…Geometry!
