Week
of: March 14, 2016
Reading and Language Arts: This week students will
be reading a variety of narrative stories and finding out what narrative
elements are. **Students should be reading at least 20 minutes for homework
every night!
Grammar: We will be continuing to
work on simple and compound sentences, and we will try to use them in our
writing.
Writing: This week in writing, we
will be brainstorming ideas for our first narrative piece. We will focus on a
‘slice’ of a story, meaning a small chunk of time.
Science: This week we will be finishing
up our storm projects and beginning to review for our weather test. Students
will complete their study guides and prepare for the test NEXT week.
Math: This week we will be
continuing to work on time. The focus will be elapsed time and reviewing what
we have worked on so far! We will have a test next week.
Dates
to Remember
**NEXT WEEK-Wed. 3/23-Really Big Dance Show during

**As we approach Spring Break, I'd love for some students to write about an activity that they do during the week off! These will be future blog posts as well!
