will continue working on Common and Proper nouns this week.
Writing: This
week, students will finish writing an opinion paper on why they are the Pick of
the Patch. Within this paper, we will be focusing on linking words and
conventions (grammar, capitalization, and punctuation). They are doing a great
job working through the Writing Process and have started becoming student
editors!
Social Studies: We are taking a much needed break from Science and
will begin a new Social Studies unit today! In this unit we will study the
continents and oceans, their placement on a world map, and various map skills.
Students will be bringing home a map of the world today so that they can begin
memorizing the placement of the continents and oceans.
