Week
of: May 16, 2016
Reading and Language Arts: Poetry will continue
this week. We will focus on Concrete and Picture Poems. We will also begin
compiling our poems into poetry anthologies! These should be finished up
sometime next week! ****Students should be reading at least 25 minutes for
homework every night!
Writing: This week in writing, we
will be continuing our narrative topics and be putting all our pieces together
to write our last stories! Students are
required to do a few drafts and lots of additions! J
Science: This week we will focusing
on natural resources. We will talk about renewable and nonrenewable resources.
We will also be discussing recycling.
Math: Students will continue
their study of measurement. We will review inches, ½ inches and ¼ inches. We
will then move into metric liquid measurements.
