Week
of: May 9, 2016
Reading and Language Arts: Poetry will continue
this week. We will focus on Acrostics, Haikus, Cinquain and the I Am poem. ****Students
should be reading at least 20 minutes for homework every night!
Writing: This week in writing, we
will be continuing our narrative topics and finish up the current story. We
will be writing one more story before the end of the year! Students are
required to do a few drafts and lots of additions! J
Science: This week we will finish
up our study of Earth and its changes. We will be doing a study guide tomorrow
and test on Friday.
Math: Students will be testing
over distributive property, perimeter and area this week. From there, we will
be jumping into our unit of measurement (inches, ½ inches and ¼ inches).

**SCRAPBOOKING If you are able to send in any of the
following, I would appreciate it:

Letter Stickers
·
PHOTO Tape (this is what we need the
most of!)
·
Skinny Scrapbooking
Markers or Pens for writing about their time in third grade
·
ANYTHING that would be
good for scrapbooking ( fun papers, die cuts)
·
White Cardstock Paper
·
If you would like to
send in $$$ instead, I will be doing some shopping to purchase photo tape and
other supplies.
